Tropical Pressure

Where: Porthtowan Eco Park
Small but mighty, Tropical Pressure has to be one of the friendliest festivals to have ever existed, with just a few thousand tickets available meaning it’s always a relaxed atmosphere. With a community led, eco-friendly and child-friendly ethos it’s an incredibly joyful event, centred around a line-up of Latin American, African and Caribbean music. Beyond the stages, there are also heaps of activities to get involved in, ranging from nature-inspired crafts, to dance classes and circus skills. Plus, for children there are specific movement, crafts and storytelling workshops.
Stithians Show

Where: Stithians Showground
The ultimate family-friendly event, Stithians Show is an exciting agricultural gathering suitable for all ages. Fans of animals will love the livestock displays, horse competitions and dog agility shows, whilst fans of food will savour the opportunity to browse the trade stands brimming with top quality regional produce. There’s a huge schedule of entertainment including a fairground, live music across two stages, vintage vehicles and a Sunflower Trail, which takes children through a range of hands-on activities and learning experiences.
Newquay Food Festival

Where: Killacourt
Treat yourself to the best of Cornwall’s food and drink over a long weekend at Newquay Food Festival. Based at the Killacourt, a vibrant community space overlooking the sea, you’ll sample delicious street food, watch live fire-cooking demos and browse artisan stalls whilst watching the surf roll in. Surf & Skate Expo, 2026

Head to Newquay for an exciting celebration of the UK’s surf and skate communities, where keynote speakers, brands and athletes come together for the UK’s only surf and skate expo. These sports are a huge part of Cornish culture and you’ll learn all about them, their leading figures and the adventures they shape. Discover an enchanting adaptation of Beatrix Potter’s beloved animal series, with a performance of The Tales of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunnyby Quantum Productions at National Trust Trelissick. Grab a picnic blanket and some snacks for the outdoor performance, which takes place in the leafy upper reaches of the Fal River and one of Cornwall’s most beautiful gardens.
Falmouth Dragon Boat Race

Where: Greenbank Hotel, Falmouth
For a fun family day out, watch colourful crews of huge boats in a rowing race up and down the river. An exciting spectacle, complemented by live music and races over two days, there’s also plenty of beer and food to enjoy from the hotel marquee. Tie it in with an exploration of the maritime town of Falmouth, for the ultimate weekend by the sea.
Parklive at Kimberley Park

Where: Kimberley Park, Falmouth
Enjoy a free to attend community festival at Falmouth’s perfectly manicured Kimberley Park, where live music from local bands will be performed across two stages. At this year’s Parklive there will also be food stalls and vendors, selling items by local makers and creators, all together creating a mellow day out for people of all ages.
