Royal Cornwall Show, Wadebridge 

When: Thursday 4th to Saturday 6th June 2026

Where: Royal Cornwall Show 

One of the top agricultural shows in the country, the Royal Cornwall Show is a fantastic way to keep the kids entertained (plus children under 4 can enter for free). Children will love seeing all of the farm animals including prize-winning livestock, the dog show tent and rabbit marquee. There’s also a huge Victorian fairground area, complete with a Vintage Rally and Steam Fair, plus live entertainment throughout including music, dancing and acrobat artists. Don’t miss the Farm & Country Zone where children can learn about food and farming through a range of activities and even try their hand at “faux” milking. 

Porthtowan Eco Park Summer Fayre 

When: Sunday 7th June 2026

Where: Porthtowan Eco Park 

Join in on a vibrant community celebration centred around music, creativity and festival energy. Porthtowan Eco Park’s Summer Fayre is a welcoming family-friendly event, where live music, DJ sets, workshops, child-friendly activities and independent stalls provide plenty of entertainment. Expect tropical rhythms from the live music tent whilst you try your hand at candle decorating, stained glass copper foiling, facepainting, or singing workshops. Plus, there will be plenty to eat and drink on site from plant-based pop up food stalls. 

Murdoch Day 

When: Saturday 13th June 2026 

Where: Redruth 

Just a five-minute drive from The Cornish Place, Murdoch Day promises an introduction to Redruth’s long history of innovation and technology, where inventor William Murdoch once lived. Great for young children, activities include displays of early steam engines, historical exhibitions and a digital town trail. Plus, facepainting stalls, traditional fairground rides, a children’s dance procession and craft workshops. For live music, head to Redruth Buttermarket

Truro Children’s Day 

When: Saturday 20th June 2026

Where: Lemon Quay, Truro 

Returning to Truro city centre, Truro Children's Day includes an exciting schedule of entertainment for the whole family. Most of the action will take place on Lemon Quay, where you’ll find exciting mountain bike shows, stalls, dance performances and give-it-a-go circus skills sessions. Local shops will also take part with a range of special offers and activities, whilst Truro’s Farmers Market can be found on Boscawen Street. 

Performances at The Minack Theatre 

When: Various dates 

Where: Minack Theatre, Porthcurno 

With the Minack Theatre calendar in full swing, June brings a fantastic choice of open-air performances, perfect when paired with an hour at Porthcurno, one of Cornwall’s best beaches. Shows include King Arthur for legendary family fun (1st to 4th June); Peer Gynt for Norse mythology and hilarious characters (8th to 11th June); or Pinocchio for a coming-of-age classic (22nd to 25th June). 

Free family days out at Helston Coronation Park

When: Various dates

Where: Helston Coronation Park 

For young children, Helston Coronation Park’s free events are the perfect hassle-free day out. With level access perfect for prams, a cafe and free parking right next to the lake, logistics have never been easier. This month there are two free productions for children to enjoy (just bring a picnic blanket or a chair) including: Hello Beach, an interactive show for babies and toddlers (Saturday 6th June) and Squashbox’s Curious Creaturesfor a combination of natural history and comedy (Saturday 13th June)

The park is also next to the entrance to National Trust Penrose Estate, a beautiful woodland with walks (or cycling if you bring your own bikes).

Music events in Cornwall June 2026 

Summer is a time for celebration and there’s nothing better than gathering with music in the sun. Don’t miss out on the best music events in Cornwall this month. 

The Oggymen at Trebah Garden 

When: Saturday 4th June 2026 

Where: Trebah Garden, Mawnan Smith 

Head to the beautiful subtropical gardens of Trebah for an evening performance by one of Cornwall’s finest vocal groups. The Oggymen are known for their contemporary folk songs and shanties, where lyrics tell tales of the Cornish landscapes, history and communities. Expect an upbeat performance in a beautiful setting, in Trebah’s open air amphitheatre.  

Tunes in the Dunes 

When: Friday 5th to Sunday 7th June 2026 

Where: Perranporth beach 

Bringing headlining pop artists like Basement Jaxx and Professor Green, alongside nostalgic bands like Scouting for Girls and Rhythm of the 90s DJ sets, Tunes in the Dunes is a fantastic beach event. Held on the golden sands of Perranporth beach, the night brings an aprés vibe to Cornish shores, where you can dance on the sand until the early hours. 

Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival 

When: Friday 12th to Sunday 14th June 2026 

Where: Various venues throughout Falmouth 

Falmouth’s largest festival, the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival brings over 80 performers to 20 venues across the town – all free entry! Including boot-stomping renditions of popular shanties and shanty singers from Cornish towns as well as the French coast, this is a true celebration of the region’s maritime heritage. In between acts, sample delicious street food and local brews from the marquees and beer tents. 

Gospel Choir at National Trust Trelissick 

When: Saturday 13th June 2026 

Where: National Trust Trelissick 

Treat yourself to an uplifting summer afternoon performance by Falmouth Gospel Choir at National Trust Trelissick. Featuring beautiful harmonies, exceptional rhythms and music that will make your heart sing, this open air performance will take place in one of Cornwall’s most stunning gardens. Head of the choir is Ley Adewole who has performed with Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross and George Michael, so this one’s expected to be a showstopper. 

Victoria Gardens Bandstand 

When: Sunday afternoons, all month

Where: Victoria Gardens, Truro 

Perfect for families or those looking for a more tranquil musical experience, Victoria Gardens are putting on free band stand music events each weekend. Relax on the grass with a picnic surrounded by manicured gardens whilst live music lingers in the air. Expect everything from brass bands to group choirs to Cornish folk music.

Foraging & Feast at The Gurnard’s Head

Where: The Gurnard’s Head, Zennor 

Join local forager and nature expert Caroline Davey for a culinary experience like no other: combining foraging in some of Cornwall’s most gorgeous coastal landscapes with a hearty 4-course wild lunch. Run in conjunction with the stunning Gurnard’s Head pub, perched on the top of the north Cornwall cliffs, Caroline’s Fat Hen Wild Cookery School will lead you along the coast and coastal paths in search of wild edibles.
