The Woodshed is a rustic brick shed at the entrance to The Cornish Place. Full of character, complete with its own cute little courtyard. And just look at those arches! Just perfect for an intimate celebration away from the cottages.

Or for something a little more ‘al fresco’, walk through the fields to the Field Shelter and marry in the open countryside.

Lifelong memories were made at your venue that day and we could never thank you enough..

Our wedding planner will help you to create your perfect day with a ceremony and celebration meal. We can recommend suppliers from catering to flowers to photographers for a memorable celebration however small!

Making your perfect day

  • Rustic open shed with a green wooden door, stacked firewood, folding chairs, and floral decorations. The interior has plant vines and a window, creating a cozy, natural atmosphere.

    The Ceremony

    Elopement weddings for up to 6 take place in the characterful Woodshed with its rustic charm, or in the Field Shelter surrounded by nature. Our wedding planner will work with you to design YOUR day YOUR way.

    Wedding Breakfast

    To celebrate your wedding, you and any guests can eat in the Woodshed, or even in your cottage. Our wedding planner can suggest local caterers to provide a memorable feast, or book one of many fantastic restaurants locally.

    Outside Space

    The Woodshed has it’s own cute little courtyard through the arches with a fire basket and bench for a cosy end to your evening.

What’s included:

  • Elopement bookings can be for either a short break or a whole week.

  • Use of the Woodshed and it’s small courtyard, or the Field Shelter.

  • Rental of the cottage of your choice with all its usual luxuries .

  • Services of the Cornish Place Wedding Planner

    • Up to 3 hours of planning support

    • The creation of running order and timeline for the wedding day 

    • Briefing your wedding service suppliers and ensuring they understand delivery etc 

    • Meeting and directing suppliers

    • Wedding coordination as required on your wedding day

  • Tables and chairs for up to 6.

  • Crockery, cutlery, glasses, Cakestand and knife.
